Hi. I am a retired federal and state criminal investigator with more than 25 years of experience conducting complex criminal investigations. My career has afforded me an opportunity to live and work in some of the least desirable places on the planet.
During my tenure as a State Trooper with the Maryland State Police, I investigated a wide range of narcotics trafficking violations, performed undercover investigation, conducted surveillances and prepared affidavits for search and seizure warrants/wiretaps. Interviewed and debriefed informants/suspects, collected physical and documentary evidence and testified as an expert and fact witness in criminal and civil courts. I also, supervised and conducted surreptitious operations as a member of the Technical Investigative Unit for the State Police.
As a Special Agent with the National Security Agency, I was certified as a Technical Security Countermeasures agent. In this position, I participated and conducted Technical Security Countermeasures operations for the US Government.
As a Special Agent with the US Drug Enforcement Administration, I served as a street agent conducting complex international and domestic narcotics investigations, then as a Special Agent Pilot conducting undercover investigations, surveillances, technical surveillances, prepared affidavits for search and seizure warrants, arrest warrants and testified as an expert witness and fact witness in criminal and civil cases in Federal District Court.
Additionally, while assigned to the Aviation Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration, I was designated as an Aircraft Accident Investigator and Safety Officer. I attended and completed the Aviation Safety and Accident Investigation Certification at the University of Southern California (USC).
While working with the Drug Enforcement Administration, I was assigned as the Acting Section Chief managing the Polygraph and Training Units, Unit Chief of the Advanced Telephony Unit managing the agencies intercept of cellular telephone and internet traffic.
After retirement from the DEA, I worked with Blackwater, USA as an International Airline Captain in support of US Government contracts in Afghanistan and Africa.
